A thread only travels between recorded 5asideCHESS encounters. worldVIEW never tracks anybody’s everyday movements. worldVIEW shows where connections have already happened — Places to Play shows the approved places you can go to make one. They are not the same list. Locations come from Google Maps places, so a crossing lands where it really happened.
worldVIEW is a living human archive — not a social media platform.
It isn’t designed to keep people online. It’s designed to inspire people to connect offline — and to preserve the stories that come from it.
No likes. No followers. No rankings. No engagement statistics.
Nothing here measures a person against anybody else. Stories are here to be witnessed, not rated.

Two minutes, and a moment is preserved
Connections are recorded inside My Journey — the private home of your thread. Search the real place you played, add a Pearl of Wisdom if there was one, and a new crossing forms on worldVIEW.
If you have opted into worldVIEW, a crossing you record can appear straight away — no milestone needed. What may be shown publicly: your display name, your profile photo, your Human Thread, the approximate location of the connection and any Pearl of Wisdom you choose to share. Everything sensitive stays private — your private notes, your connection photos, your age, your exact home address and the details of anyone who isn't a member.
Record a connectionA thread may end. Its impact doesn’t have to.
One day, every thread here will belong to someone who has gone. What stays is what they gave away in an afternoon — a sentence, a question, an hour of somebody’s full attention. worldVIEW keeps those moments so a grandchild can read them, and so the person on the other side of the board is never forgotten.
